Dear Muscoy Families,

    It is with great excitement and pride that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Muscoy Elementary! My name is Juan Ortiz, and I am honored to begin my second year as Principal of this amazing school community.

    Reflecting on our first year together, I am thrilled to share that we have experienced significant academic growth—particularly in mathematics. This progress is a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our educators, and the support of our families. As we enter Year 2, we are committed to building on this momentum by continuing to challenge our scholars and elevate our academic standards.

    Equally important to our mission is the development of strong, positive relationships with our families and the broader Muscoy community. This year, we are focused on deepening those connections through open communication, inclusive events, and meaningful partnerships. We believe that when schools and families work together, our students thrive.

    Safety remains a top priority. We are committed to maintaining a secure, nurturing environment where every child feels protected and valued. Our staff will continue to implement proactive measures and engage in ongoing training to ensure our campus is a safe space for all.

     I am proud to serve such a beautifully diverse community. Our school reflects the rich cultural and linguistic strengths of our students and families, and we celebrate that diversity every day. Through programs such as AVID, Dual Immersion, GATE, PBIS, and daily social-emotional learning, we aim to empower our students with the tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
